माइसंसारले रोयटर्सको गल्ती औँल्याउदै ब्लग लेखेपछि विश्वभरबाट पाठकहरुले रोयटर्सको साइटमा, उसको फेसबुक पेजमा गएर गल्ती सच्याउन दबाब दिएका थिए।
रोयटर्सको अलर्टनेटमा राखिएको नेपालको कन्ट्री प्रोफाइलमा अब नेपालको क्षेत्रफल १ लाख ४७ हजार १ सय ८१ नै भएको छ। यसअघि झण्डै सात हजार वर्ग किलोमिटर जग्गा ‘पच’ गरेर १ लाख ४० हजार ८ सय वर्ग किलोमिटर लेखिएको थियो।
त्यसैगरी दोस्रो बढी बोलिने भाषामा तिब्बतीलाई हटाएर मैथिली राखिएको छ। हिन्दु आधिकारिक धर्म रहेको तथ्य पनि सच्याइएको छ।
पहिलो जाति नेपाली अनि दोस्रो ठूलो जाति बिहारी भनेर कतै हुँदै नभएको जाति उल्लेख गर्ने रोयटर्सले अब भने त्यसलाई पनि सच्याएको छ।
यति ठूलो गल्ती गरेर सच्याइसक्दा पनि रोयटर्सले फेसबुक पेजमा सामान्य औपचारिकताका लागि पनि माफी मागेको छैन। गल्ती औँल्याइदिनेहरुलाई धन्यवाद मात्रै दिएका छन् उनीहरुले।

अनि नेपालको आधिकारिक धर्म हिन्दु भनेर त्यसमा लेखिएको छ। नेपालको अहिले आधिकारिक (अफिसियल) धर्म छ र ?

Still there are huge and blunder mistakes like – ”Language: The official language is Nepali, spoken by 47.8 percent of the population. There are numerous other languages, with Maithali being the second most common language.” which is unbearable mistake. In fact, according to the recent census and previous census,-for the footnote of census checkhttp://census.gov.np/ Nepali language is spoken by around 70% of the whole population. As the given mistake of 47.8% is a open and grave threat to the Nepali language. By and large, such grave mistake ultimately may help to those who are barking for the Hindi language for giving as a major status in Nepal which is and will be greater threat for the Nepal and Nepali identity. So please all, once again inform and direct to this concern body to make corrections.

did you guys noticed, it considers nepal to be a single point with latitude 28 degree and longitude 84 degree. It is a country, and not a point. The latitude should be from 26 to 31, and longitude from 80 to 89E. I cant believe they dont even know that…

However, I am appalled by the misleading information there.
I am curious to know the source of your statistics data there. There are plenty of false information in the article regarding the language, religion, ethnic group, area and so on. Some examples include Tibetan being the second most common language there and bihari being the second most major ethnic group. These information are trying to erode the sovereignty of Nepal.
It is totally understandable that the article is not up to date. However, we the viewers demand at least constant element like area to be accurate. Similarly, an entry with the date stating when the article was last modified would certainly help.
I do not know if the author of the article just inserted some random data without doing actual research or deliberately trying to mislead the public. However, these tarnish your reputation as a reputable and reliable news agency.
Finally, I hope to see a quick revised version of the article with corrections.

I am a nepali citizen, and I was going through the informations you provided about Nepal. Some of the informations are completely wrong, and some are so ridiculous that make everyone laugh. I am not trying to offend you, but you need some studies regarding that. Few mistakes I found were, tibetian is considered to be second most speaking language. That is totally wrong, and I think almost zero percent speak tibetan language.
The other paragraph about ethnic group says some 50% are nepali. That makes me laugh. all american citizen are american and all biritsh citizen are british. So all nepali citizen are nepali. Nepali is not ethnic group. You might have said aryan or something. And it says some percentage are bihari. What does that mean, are they from bihar India or what. I do not think that is ethnic group.
I strongly believe that if you want to publish something, do some study and publish. Dont just put anything that your editor or reporter thinks.
I strongly believe that you will take my advise seriously, and try to make improvement

As a citizen of Nepal it made me really sad to read completely wrong information about Nepal in your website. I would like to request you to post information based on the facts. The total area of Nepal, number of people speaking Nepali language, number of ethnic groups are everything wrong. (None of the Nepali citizen speak Tibetan language, There are no Bihari people in Nepal. Bihari refers to Indian people who lives in the Indian state of Bihar).
It is very strange to see several mistakes about Nepal in the reputed websites like yours. I hope you will correct mistakes and pay serious attention while giving information about Nepal in future.

I want to bring to your attention that Tibetan is not the second language of Nepal by any means and there is no ethnic groupd named “Bihari” in Nepal. And “Nepali” is not any ethnic group.
I hope you will apologize to your fault and make appropriate corrections very soon. I advise you to do a research before providing information about something or somebody. Even a small research wouldn’t have resulted this kind of heavy blunder.

The profile of Nepal is true. Because there are 50 % Nepalese lives Himalayan range and other cities. They almost speak Tibetan language.
Sherpa,Yolmo,Mukumba,Lhopa, Nupripa,Denjungpa,Dokpa,Hyomopa,Limi etc all speaks tibetan language.
But you mentioned there are Hindu majority. the Hindu people in Nepal are only 30 %. there are more than 60% are Buddhist in Nepal.
Everyday people are changing their religion in Buddhist. In southern region mostly Tharu Ethnic people are becoming day by day Buddhist.in western Magar and Gurung are all Buddhist. The Government static is 99% wrong..
Please rectify thre are 60 % peopls Buddhist and only 30 % hindu.
